Over the past 20 years I have been involved in the Resto industry in the Bahamas, holding many positions from line cook to owner. As an owner an operator, I became increasingly tired of the selection of wines offered. When you consider the work one places on the developemnet of a restaurant, very little was done in the way of creativity in this sector. thus ovw was born, out of a personal need to offer the Bahamian Restaurant professional more flexibility and creativety when developing his wine list.
Our primary objective is consumer satisfaction, to bring far more appealing brands both from quality of wine and price to the end consumer via strong Restaurant ties. An understanding a little more specific than a salesman, continues to be our advantage. Further we also understand our place in the market, which is to provide an alternative to our clients that exceed quality.
To a large degree doors are already open, because of experience and longstanding relationships, so its very important to further validate those relationships with quality brands that work.
2010 will see the market open even wider, and the large companies will respond, however there response as often will be to late for certain sectors of the market.

Wicked Wines from South Africa Eikendal winery is located in the Western Cape in Stellenbosch. This famous winery ran by winemaker Nico Grobler and Int Marketing and Sales Manager Chris Saager, together this team has been able to preserve and enhance the wonderful legacy of Eikendal.. I made contact with Chris in 2007 1 year after oceanviewwines opened and we have been discussing moving Eikendal in the Bahamas, late 2007 we moved some cases for a market test, and in 2008 we started serious business. Today we have grown our imports an average of 100% on reorders and only see great things ahead for our relationship..
